Hi,

How can I connect from my mac running OSx10.3.9 with ARD 2 installed to my windows winksp4 servers?

I have ARD running fine on our fleet of macs and it looks great. I now want to be able to control the fleet of PC's from my mac.

I've tried installing VNC server on the windows boxes and this works upto a point. I can connect to them, I can see the desktop, but it will not hand me control of them. ARD complains I'm not authorized.

Having done a search and read a little bit about I note that people seem to say you can use windows remote desktop instead of VNC. Is this the case?

Many thanks

ARD won't work for PC's.

You must use Remote Desktop Connection. You can DL it from MS/mac/
You will also need appropriate permissions on each computer. I assume you are looking to control workstations as well as servers. Servers by default with TS enabled allow 2 administrative connections. Workstations must have remote control enabled in the computer properties, and you must be given explicit permissions to do so....

Or you can use the opensource rdesktop in X11. Same rules apply
