Arctic 186 8 port PCI Adapter & Win2K Srv

Hi All,

I am trying to get some extra serial ports in my IBM Xseries 340 server and have added a Arctic 186 8 port PCI Adapter.

Adapter is in device manager and it says it is working fine, and all diagnostics of the actuall card itself report successfully. Now I am trying to get Win2K server to recognise the extra com ports.

Anybody used these Arctic adapters before?

I am thinking of either adding in extra COM ports manually or adding in a mulitport serial adapater thorough device manager and hope that i can then see the extra 8 com ports.

Any ideas?
