Arcseve 7 for NetWare abends servers

Guys

We are running NetWare 5.1 Sp2 with Arcserve 7 for NetWare installed. We have a selection of servers that will abend regularly claiming a problem with the RAID driver.

For your info, we are running IBM Netfinity 5100 servers, RAID driver is IPSRAID.HAM v4.50e (6 Nov 2000 - latest)

The servers will abend at any time, not necessarily during a backup.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

What does the abend "think" was the cause? I know most of the time it's not helpful, but sometimes it can be. Are you running Conlog? If so (it is added when inetcfg is run), edit the line in autoexec.ncf to read:
load conlog maximum=500 entire=yes archive=yes
This will save past conlogs in the ETC directory and add extentions for each. ie: conlog.000, conlog.001, conlog.002, etc. A good way to compare repeating abends, as well as other errors while booting up.

As mentioned in my initial message, the server abends claiming a problem with the RAID driver IPSRAID.HAM

There are no initial errors on the console, and the abends are written to ABEND.LOG so we can examine them there.
