Hi All,
I've installed ARCserve 7 on RH linux 7.2 and am using HP surestore DLT 8000 drive.
When I'm trying to start ARCserve using "astart" I'm getting the following error.
"/opt/ARCserve/sbin/ascommd: error while loading shared libraries: libasms.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
I'd really appreciate if any of u gurus can guide me out of this issue as I'm a newbie to ARCserve 7.
I've posted this question previously but did not get an answer.I'd appreciate if some one lets me know if I made a mistake in the post.

Thanks,
Sudharis

Hmmmm,

Try adding CAlib to the following path.

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/usr/local/CAlib export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

Worked for me...
