Hi

I am using Arcserver 2000 with a fastore 22. The problem i have is that when you go to device manager all the tapes are updating but nothing happens. When you stop the tape engin and start it again all the slots start to dismount. Why is it doing this and what can I do to fix it.

Make sure the OS tape device and media changer drivers are not loading. See faq478-3987 for details.

Make sure the latest Added Device Support update in installed for the Tape Engine and the latest Service Pack for the base product. See

and pick ARCserve 2000 from the drop down menue.

If all else fails enable the Tape Engine debug log and lets see what it shows. See faq478-3964.
