can you setup a windows 98 pc to run arcserve manager.

Depending on the version of ARCServe, yes. From your subject line, ARCServeIT (ver 6.6 for Novell) Manager will run on a Win98 workstation. CAI's website has listings of which versions are compatible to which OS's.

Just load the file "ARCSRV32.EXE" from the Arcserve server//arcserve.6 directory or where ever the software is installed on the server. The only thing is you need to make sure you are loading Btrieve on the work station you want to use otherwise you may not see some or all of your devices.
Otherwise you can install the manager only from the install CD to the local workstation. Just be sure you have the license key for the CD.
In both cases you'll need to make sure you have the necessary admin rights to use Arcserve. But I'm sure you already know that. I hope this helps. Good Luck.
