ArcServeIT 6.61 Software Locks up

I have just installed NT 4 with SP5 on a <br>

DELL 2300 <br>
P111 500<br>
18gigs<br>

With Seagate Python Tape Backup that came with the Server.!<br>

Here is the problem ArcserveIT 6.61 Build 834<br>
<br>
- When I submitt a job (backup) the media states it is &quot;connecting to Media&quot; but it locks up Arcserve. or locks up OS..?<br>

Here what i have done..!<br>

Checked NT backup S/W worked fine(((Did a back successful))<br>
<br>
Did Diags of DELL SERVER <br>
SEAGATE TAPE UNIT<br>
<br>
Passed both..!<br>
<br>
Any answers..? Solutions..? Fix..? Prayers...?<br>

Have you installed and licensed the product. That gave me quite a time like you are describing. Also look in devices and make sure it still sees the device and the controller. This too could be a problem. If nothing is working make sure the device is supported with that build.
