ArcServeIT 6.61 and remote Exchange Client

Hi all,

I'm having problems getting an ArcServeIT 6.61 workgroup version installation to backup a remote Exchange 5.5 member server.

I've installed and configured the system as per the documentation I can find. (Using a 'DBAgent' user created on both the domain and exchange local systems with the appropriate user rights and Exchange account setup). The installation of the Agent itself on the Exchange server went without a hitch and all services are running fine. I also have an SQL Agent running and that's working correctly - though that is on the same server as ArcServe.

The problem I have is that the Exchange section is missing from the ArcServe Manager backup tree.

With this being the symptom (rather than a problem in a backup itself or accessing individual mailboxes) could someone point me in the direction of what I may have done wrong in the setup?

hi Norwich,
Sorry to say, but Workgroup edition will only backup the local server and nothing remotely (unless it is crappy win 98 clients and stuff). This is why your exchange remote backup ain't working.
