I have already tried everything you can imagine to be able to make the device manager to work, it will not show the devices at all and give me the following errors when loading up:
"No sockets available! Tape server request denied."
I am using W2000 workstation, i get this error if I try to run the Device Management either from the installation in my PC or from the server volume.

Cheers.

I think there is no support for the Manager
to run on W2K.
What happens when you run functions on the server console ( NetWare ) only ??

regards

Hi Cyklops,
on the Netware Server console, I can do whatever I want, the problem is only on the windows version of the Manager

Ta.

In that case you have to put the manager part in a supported environment, for ARCserve 6.6x this is WinNT4 or Windows 95/98

regards

I use the arcserve 6.6 manager function perfectly in W2000, all you need is IPX.

But to get at the device manager sections, temporarily disable IP, then login to netware, then connect, you should see it fine. Well, I do anyway.

best of luck.
