One of our clients has Arcserve6 installed on their Netware5 server and was working fine but for some reason it started taking forever to back up one of the SYS sub-directories. It would try to open each file but couldn't then would go on to the next file taking an extremely long time. The following morning it would still be trying. To try and fix it I deleted the backup job and created a new one picking only the data volume and not the system. I did not choose the rotation option and found that the tape in the drive could not be added to the pool because it was in Save mode and not Scratch mode. Could someone please tell me the difference between the Save and Scratch modes and Rotation and non-rotation jobs? Please HELP!!!!
Thanks in advance!
