been running arcserve2k sp2 on NT4, HP Ultrium LTO, for months & months. same jobs. very stable environment.
I run 1 GFS job 1st thing each night & then, depending on the day of the week, append different jobs to that same tape later. after sp4, it now gives above error message about not finding a blank tape for any job that tries to append to a GFS tape. GFS job runs fine still.
for now, i've backed out to sp2 & everything works OK again. sure smells like another runny, steaming CA bug. However, I can't backup System State on win2k servers under sp2, so I'm hoping an upgrade to sp4 will solve this.
