Arcserve workgroup edition with multiple servers

I'd like to know if is there's a way to backup multiple servers from a workgroup edition.
What I mean is to backup a file server starting from a drive letter (K or an absolute path (\\servername\c$).
Is there a way to avoid to buy the advanced version just for files backup?

The reason for designing a WE and AE is to enhance the functionality between local server backup and backup of other servers over the network. You may be able to backup the other servers by mapping the drives. You may face some issues with restore.
