Hello,
We are running Arcserve 11.5 SP4 and need to configure the virtual library option.
We have an IBM 3583 tape library and a Quantum PX502 library and both work fine with the tape library option except when we attempt to configure the libraries into multiple virtual libraries.
After we configure the virtual libraries, all of the tape drives appear outside of the library configuration in device manager and no virtual libraries appear after the tape engine is restarted.
At that point, the libraries can't be used and the virtual library entries from the tapeengine key in the resistry (library0 and library1 in our case) have to be deleted befor the libraries can be configured again via device configuration.
We need to use virtual libraries to help resolve another problem we are having and CA has not been able to resolve it so far.
Anyone else have any experience using the virtual library option successfully?
Thanks,
