ARCserve v9 on NetWare 4.11 and Restore by Session

We are running Brightstor ARCserve v9 on NetWare 4.11 SP9.

I initially attempted to install BTrieve v7.9, but could not get a successful backup: even small test backups kept throwing "Backup Incomplete".

I backreved to Btrieve v6.10 (shipped with NW4.11) and copied in the relevant EMPTYDB dir. Backups work fine, BUT restore by session for anything before yesterday will not view the session directory contents. I've set prune/purge for 30 days.

I got a response from CA, asking to increase values in BTI.CFG, but I'm using Btrieve v6.10. I increased the values in BSTART.NCF instead on BTI.CFG, but still can't see detail below sessions.

Any help would be help re-instate my sanity.

I had the same problem. Computer associate Email a zip file
T11b215.zip this works.
 
Thanks for the reply, I'll send an e-mail to CA quoting T11B215.ZIP. It usually takes 3 or 4 days for them to reply.

I'll let you know how I get on...
 
Computer Associates eventually contacted me and e-mailed me a file named T11B225.caz. I wasn't initially too hopeful as the documentation had a header as follows:

PROBLEM SYMPTOM: NET-FAILED TO RESTORE FROM SESSIONS OVER 260GIG.

Our sessions are nowhere near that big!

I applied the enclosed ASDB.NLM/MSG to the server, and UNIDBAPI.DLL/ASDBAPI.DLL to the ARCserve Manager Program Files directory. Restore by session problem cured!
