Arcserve V9 Netware 2nd server backup 1

Hi,

Arcserve V9 on one Netware 6 box
2nd Netware 6 server on network - installed in same NDS tree as main server but different context.
Arcserve client agent not loaded - waiting for key to arrive.

Create backup job for main server - runs fine
Create backup job for 2nd server (Selection from Network) - runs fine.
Create backup job for both together and get "Failed to login" error to 2nd server.

Any Ideas?

never used 9 - still using 7

is this a licence thing

assume when you say it works ok with second server these are individual backups

Hi Terry,

Yes it might be licensing - the tape drive is on the main server as is the full copy of Arcserve 9. Backup jobs are created on this server - to back up the 2nd server I'm selecting the file system via "Network" in the Arcserve backup selection.

I'm looking at the problem today - if I get any further I'll post results here

OK,

Solution if anyones interested

Problem was caused by us having a volume on the 2nd server called ALL_VOL - renaming it to ALLVOL fixed backup logon issue.(!!!)

Novell TID 10082188 refers - in an obscure sort of way.
