Hello all,
I know that posting my problem here would definitly make everything clear and understandable.
I have ARCserve v15 and everyday the backup job runs, it states that the job status incomplete
fail to open file types including DHCP database files , SQL database files, and Microsoft.net log files.
I would like to have the backup's status finished and I thought about a workaround solution for those open files being used or sometimes access denied such as Microsoft.net log files.
I thought to create a path file and schedule a tasks to run it before the back up starts and run another patch file after the backup finishes.
Before the backup starts, the patch files should stop any service related to those open files such as DHCP service, SQL server service and the like.
and after the backup finishes, automatically, the scheduled tasks runs a start patch file that start all the services aimed.
would that be feacible and logical ? I'm not sure if we have Agent for open files even tho that in the Help > licenses, it says that agent open files is licensed.
again my question is that is running two patch files would replace agent for open files ?
Thanks in advance
