ARCserve unable to exclude files using Backup Agent

How does one specify in the filter for ARCServe to skip files on another server that is using the ARCServe Backup Agent? It uses the IP address to target the server and I don't know the syntax to use in the filter option. Any ideas? Thank you.
 
The following table shows you how to specify paths for Microsoft Network machines and NetWare servers:

Pattern What it means
DRIVE:\PATH An absolute path on your local hard drive.

Example: C:\WINNT\MSAPPSC:\WIN*

Pattern What it means
\\MACHINE\PATH An absolute path on any network drive.

Example: \\ENG\DOS

Pattern What it means
\PATH An absolute path on any network drive.

Example: \WINNT\MSAPPS\WIN*

Pattern What it means
DRIVE:DIR_NAME The directory may be in any other directory
on the specified drive.

Example: C:MSAPPSC:MS*

Pattern What it means
DIR_NAME The directory may be in any other directory
on any network drive.
