We have 200 Netware 4.11 servers. spread out all over the country. and becasue we don´t have IT Experts in every locations.
We installed 18 servers with Arcserve v6.1 which are doing an copy mirroring job. at some locations we have some slow connections. The problem is that those jobs take to much time (sometimes more then 500 Hours????) Those someone have an idear what the problem good be or what a good solution will be.
The fileservers are not extremely big servers.

The best solution is to install ACRSERVE on the servers to be backed up. But this usually isn't feasable. Each remote site should have its own backup device for the local servers. We had a similar situation here. One server would get backed up in 3 hours and the other would take 30. The quicker one had the Tape device attached directly to it. the slower one backed up across the LAN connection. This was so much slow because the NIC card in that server was running at 10Mbs. By upgrading our NIC and Reconfiguring our Switch to accomodate 100Mbs, our Backup time was dropped down to less than 4 hours. Better than 30! But across the wire is still slower than local. So in your case your running across a WAN link which will give very slow response in this case.
