Hi there,

I am working with Windows NT 4.0 and ARCServe 6.5 Build 620. Just one question. It is necessary the ARCserve$ share? I didn't find any reference and I want to stop the share but I unknown what could happen.

Regards.

HI,

It is necessary for this share to be there... else you would get connection problems when backing up remote servers...

cheers

Thanks Speshalyst,

But if only have the local server (where the ARCserve resides) and I backup information from PDC (Primary Domain)
and some BDC (Backup Domain).

All servers are in the same domain, I still need the ARCserve$ share? Or I can delete it?

Regards.

HI,

The ARCserve$ is created by default during the install...

Dont delete it...

Cheers
