We have just restored some files using arcserve 2000 on NT, it was a mistake! The arcserve log has told us that it has restored 725 folders and 5633 files. We don't know which files it has restored. Does anyone know if there is a more detailed report with this information in?

I think in options if you check 'log all activity' it will give you a list of all the files restored. Good luck.

Ouch. I feel your pain.

The Log all Activity option would tell you everything that you restored, but only if you set it BEFORE you did your restore. Otherwise, it's not gonna help you.

Here's a couple of ideas you can use, if you or can recreate the "source" of the restore job you ran:

1. Open up the restore view, and use the views to tell what folders/files were in the session(s) you restored. This will be kind of awkward for the number of files that you are looking at, however.

2. Redo the same restore, but to a safe, scratch area on a disk that you can blow away later. This time, set the "Log all Activity" option, and the log generated will reflect the same set of files that were done in your original erroneous restore.

Otherwise, you might be stuck going through a lot of files and directories, or comparing a restore of the target directory before you did your erroneous restore.

Good Luck
