We have recently upgraded our client's servers from Arcserve 6.61 SP2a to Arcserve 2000 build 1100. We did a clean installation of Arc 2000 by uninstalling the 6.6 version and have recreated the jobs from scratch.
Now, here is the problem, we can backup and restore anything backed up with tapes from 2000 and 6.61. However, as soon as I say restore a file off the root of a volume to a folder other than its original location, we get a Dr. Watson Access Violation error.
CA have told us its something to do with the permissions on the servers, but my question to them is how can this be when we can backup and restore everything else?
Can some one please let me know if they have/had this problem and help us fix it?? Or is this a "known" bug in Arcserve with no fix??
Help will be greatly appreciated.
