I've run into a weird one with ArcServe r11.5 SP4. It's doing a full backup of the server, but once it completes the backup and CRC check it then asks for tape #2 of the sequence to be inserted, yet there is no tape 2 and it can't be for space reasons because the tape still has 10GB of free space on it.
From what I recall I thought CRC checks were run after the backup was completed for all tapes, is this wrong? If there's a file bigger than the free space will ArcServe try to back it up or fill up the available space with smaller files before proceeding to the next media?
In other words, is there any other reason it would ask for another tape, or is it simply it's hit a file larger than the available free space?
