I am running ArcSereve 11.5 SP3 on a Windows 2k3 server. I see the options to use Multiple NIC's. I am running a staging jobs to a SAN and the from the SAN to a tape library. I have streaming enabled. My jobs have multiple servers under each job that are being backed up. My server has 2 x1gig NIC's. If I enable that option would I see a benefit? I see in the manual it only refers to Multistreaing which to me is only going to the tapes. I need the performance increase from the server being backed up to the SAN. Is there anything else I would need to enable?

With BAB 11.5 and disk staging you can set the number of streams used at the File System Device Group level AND the job level (disk staging options). When you didn't purchase the (optional) disk staging option the maximum amount of streams to be configured is 2. With this optipon you can setup a maximum of 32 streams.
This streams setting defines the multiplexing factor.
