Arcserve Mgr / Exchange 2000 help

Wondering if anyone can help me get my arcserve functioning correctly. My Arcserve Manager and Exchange are both different servers. I have Exchange Agent installed ok, however, as arcserve manger is on a different server i'm lead to belive u need to install exchange resource kit in order for it to work. I've installed exchange resource kit, but still only have the basic backup options the 2000 client agent gives me. I have no information store etc. Cam anyone advise me of where i'm going wrong/what i need to do.

Hello,

you cannot see the exchange entries when using the client agent. you have to delete the _ip entry in the name of the client agent, then you can see the exchange server. it is not recommended to use the exchange backup with the client agent. please use it over network.
