ARCserve Manager is very slow to open.

I'm using Arcseve 2000 Advanced. At times when I try to open Asmgr.exe it is either very slow to start or it just hangs without a hint of being active except for being in the task-manager. Why is this? and is there a patch for this?

On a side note when installing from scratch should I apply all of the patches prior to SP4 or just start with SP4 and apply the new patches as necessary.

Guess asmgr.exe is being stifled for memory....

reintall AS2000. You can just apply sp4. no need for the preceding patches..

How difficult is is to reinstall ARCserv. We are running the same version and are encountering the same problems.

There are a few causes for the problem.
CPU and memory usage
Arcserve.log file size my log file got to 10000 KB

So, I freed up some processes and cut reduced the size of the log file.
