Arcserve locks up during backup

Hi All,
My Arcserve backup locks up during the backup job. I can't stop the job. I actually have to delete the QSD file and recreate the job but it happens again. Starting and stopping the services or rebooting the server do not have any effect. The only thing that appears in the job log is after attempting to backup a drive:
w3828 unable to find this media or blank media. I have tried diffent media and that does not help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I have also attempted to rebuild the db.

Have you tried to initialize your db? See faq:
