Arcserve is repeating the Backup job on NT 4 Server

Hi there,

we have a NT 4 Server running at a customer and there we have ArcServe 2000 installed.
There should be a job running every night about 12, the job starts, runs without any problem, is finish, but than it starts again. It keeps on repeating until the tape is full and than errors out, because he didn't recieved a new tape.

We tried everything, but nothing helped. Does anyone know a cure for that?

Are there any errors in the log prior to the job restarting (like a "failed to abort" error)? -----------------------------------------------------

There are no error in the log, it only says, the job is finsished and it's planning the new job. After that it repeats the exact job like before, with the same date and the same time.
After doing that three times the job errors out, because the tape is full.

Any Idea ?

Try deleting the job and recreating it.

Hi, the recreation of the job didn't work, but I found the cure. Somehow when David running, even so we don't backup the data, the job didn't run through. When we stop David, it worked. That's the miracle of Windows.
