I have set everything up and all the backups are running fine but a copy of the backuped up data is being saved on the laptops hard drive (before it is transfered to our server). The data is taking up to much space on everyone's hard drive, is there anyway to get rid of that data without disrupting the backups? Have I set it up wrong or is there anyway I can change it so that the data on the hard drive is deleted after the backup? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

Try using minimize storage..

Minimize local storage--Does not store any file revisions locally. The comparison process is faster, but it may take longer to transfer data to the server. In order to restore files, users must connect to the server.

To Enable the Minimize local storage:

Right click on the backup set -> properties ->Backup method & select the option Minimize local storage.

So it Shall be Written!
So it Shall be Done!!

Thank you very much speshalyst, I am going to give it a try this afternoon and let you know how it turns out. Tahnk you.

So far it is working out fine; it still keeps some data locally but nothing the exent as before; thanks for the help.
