Has anyone attemped this yet ????

If someone who has could answer the following ...

Arserve won't backup the M: drive (the virtual information store) ... so how does it cope with a Disaster restore... where does it store this ... is this done via the agent for Exchange 2000. ??

Any other juicy bits to watch out for would be appreciated

Thanks in anticipation

the M drive is a virtual drive; it doesn't exist Ech 2000 covers that little pain!
As long as you can get the ARCserve Exchange Agent to restart the services after the DR then you may not even have to make the Exchange offline for DR preps.

If you notice the properties of the M drive, it appears to me to just be a new way of looking at the drive that the information store resides on (I have not tried multiples stores on different drives so I do not know how that is handled). As long as the filter option is used as stated above, I believe the exchange services will be able to run after a recovery and you can then perform the restore of the Exchange databases.
