I use ARCserve 2000 Advanced Edition, Version 7.0 Build 1100 here.

When I start a backup-job, everything is going fine.
At the end of the job it tries to backup the ARCserve DataBase.
But when trying that, it gives an error:

E4116 Unable to begin database backup. (EC=** no access rights to database [-39] (RUNTIME\DBD.C:406 - RUNTIME\DBD.C:406))
E3511 Unable to begin database backup. (EC=-1)

When I try to run the dbckeck-utility, I got error -39.
The keybuild-utility runs without any problems.
The dbfix-utility gives error 'Unable to open dictionary for database dbfix_t' and 'Repairing process for database has been prmaturaly terminated due to:.
Internal DBREPAIR error:-6003.
The dbdefrag-utility runs without any problems.

So please can anybody help me?

Hi
Your database get coruppted, for quick resoultion
1-stop the database Engine
2-Copy the database folder to another location
3-Initiliaze the database from the server admin
(This will delete everying in your database and then whenever you want to restore by tree from any tape you need to merge the tape with arcserve database

4-If you get any problem while intilization then install
Arcserve in another machine, stop tape Engine and copy
the database from the new installation to the old machine
start the database Engine this should solves your problem.

regards,

Hi, I'm getting the same error but I think its the db for a machine I have the client agent installed on. What do I need to do in order to resolve this?
