How do I see the backup date on a tape using ArcServe?

Hi Mary,

Assuming you are using the NT version of Arcserve then you can do this by the following:

1) Go into Arcserve Manager
2) Click on the Job Status Screen
3) Select which backup job you want to look at
4) Click on the tab at the bottom of the screen that says Job Log

If you scroll through this screen it will tell you start Date / time that the job was executed at.

The other option is to try and go into the restore screen, click restore by session, and highlight the specific tape that you want. Drill down on the tape by clicking the + sign and then to the directory that you want. You should be able to see the actual files / folders listed and the date they were backed up.

Let me know if I can help further.

Thanks,
