ARCserve and 3184 CRC Errors

Been using ARCserveIT 6.6 Netware on a year old Seagate 12/24 DAT drive with no problems. Lately, started receiving one E3184 CRC Compare error per backup session out of 35,000 files.
The file it fails on is always random. Made sure the file was accessible (can copy, move, open, etc.) and it's okay.
Cleaned the tape head and tried different tapes too.
Anyone have any ideas? All comments appreciated.
