I have a mixed NT and Novell enviroment and have had no problems running ARCSERVE 2000 on NT server and backing up my Novell 4.1/4.2 servers with the Novell Agent for Arcserve 2000.

I want to use ARCSERVE 9 and when I try to install the agent to a novell server (with the previous agent removed), the install program always comes back with INSTALL NOVELL CLIENT first. The computers that I am running the netware agent install ARE running the Netware 32 bit client and I can validate the NDS tree as Admin.

Any thoughts?

What OS are you trying to install from? I had the same issues with version 9 and Windows XP. Ran the install from a 2000 machine with no problems...just a thought.

Tried it from Windows 98, and Windows 2000

What version of the Novell Client are you running? I had the same issue as rweir, same resolution though. -----------------------------------------------------

I read something that said (Readme file) you can only install from Win NT/2000 workstation. This is what I did about 30 days ago when I upgraded from v6.6 EE for ntw to v9 for ntw. I then added new client agents for ntw on my remote servers and everything came up fine. Not all of the old jobs in the AQ6 were recognized but most of them were OK.
