Arcserve 7

Have loaded Arcserve 7 with the latest patches on a NetWare 5.1 server with SP4. I want to backup a NetWare 4.11 server with SP9 which has Arcserve 6.6 loaded on it. This has been unsuccessful resulting in an error i.e. E3034. This error has not provided much information any ideas.

PROBLEM: E3034 Failed to get connection xx's information fd error received during backup. Job continues with next server.

RESOLUTION: One station was not logging out while using the same name as the user of the backup. Resolved it by logging the user out.

This is the information that we got from the CA Web site. We thought it was a little strange, although to be fair this is not the first time we have considered the suggested solutions from CA to be odd. However we did test this theory out and still got the same error. Any other ideas.

Make sure that you have your TSA files loaded on the 4.11 Server...

TSANDS.NLM
TSA411.NLM

You may want to try updating these files.

Also, are you running the ArcServe Agent for NetWare on the 4.11 Server?

TSA410.NLM and TSANDS.nlm are loaded on the 4.11 server. Arcserve 6.6 enterprise edition is loaded on the 4.11 server as well. Strangely enough we have been able to backup the 5.1 server using Arcserve 6.6 on the 4.11 server. We are now considering either loading the open file agent for arcserve 7 onto the NW4.11 server or putting a beta clib patch on the 4.11 server ( latest one available ) but this really is a last resort. Some of our 4.11 servers are quite old now and applying patches has been problematic

Did you try to unload the tsa411 and reload it ?
We experienced troubles with tsa411 with the sp6a. So maybe.

Which it will help.

I have upgrade my Novell service pack from SP3 to SP4, after that I get error while I start the Arcserve 7 for Netware. " Arcserve.NLM did not load. Please switch to the console screen for more information..."
I already download new Arconsole.msg and Arcserve.nlm dated 15 November 2001. but still get the same error.
Can you help me on this..
