arcserve 7 not connecting to remote servers and not displaying log

I'm having problems getting arcserve 7 (running on netware 5.1 server)to backup remote netware 5.1/4.11 servers. This happens with the admin level user account which does have full access. also arcserve isn't updating the backup log, but it is running the post backup command!

Do you use the Client Agent for Netware on the remote servers? If so, the security you enter must be in the form .cn=user.ou=orgunit.o=org otherwise known as the complete name.

Don't forget to apply all the latest patches to the server components AND the Manager components on your workstation. ALso check the Arch$svr.log in the ARcserve home directory. It should contain all the latest log entries.
