Another problem I have experienced with ARCServe 7 for Netware is that the rotation backup does not seem to work properly. For some reason backups are not stored in the Save set and although the backup job Options are set to "Overwrite same media name or blank media" the backup always chooses to backup over the tape used for the previous night's backup. Why?? Has anyone experienced this problem at all? It is driving me nuts.
Thanks for your help Edmee de Klerk

I am fighting against this problem too. Even the CA guys can not help at this time. The reason is that if you choose GFS the tapes information should be stored in the save set of the GFS pool. I found out that if you stop and start ARCserve again this information is gone to the default pool. Thererfore the tapes can be overwritten. A workaround is to assigne the tapes to a manually created media pool by eraseing it with plus and than formating and assigneing it to this pool. Hope this helps.
