Arcserve 7.0 for Netware

I am running Arcserve 7.0 on a Novell 5.1 file server. I have all the lates patches on both Arcserver and Netware.
When I go to try to do a restore from my Arcserve Manager on my workstation. I will pick Restore from Session and it take about 20 minutes for my screen to come back to me.

My DB is only 1.5GB
any help would be great

Do you run IPX and IP, or just IP?
We had the best experience with NW 5.1Sp3 and the cumulative Patch for AS7. For Netware we installed also the Beta Patch TCP 553r and Timesync 524o. This made our manager pretty fast.
Do not install the CLIB Beta Patch... You will have even more troubles with your Manager.

wow, why is your database SO big? Do you need it to be this big? It sounds like the size of your database 1.5 gig is very big, and as such the bigger it is the longer it will take to open. Make sure you are pruning your database regularly and pack it as well to get rid of the whitespace.

asdb -p (from memory) with astpsdat as the database

increase the btrieve settings as well.
