Arcserve 6 Netware GPF on merge tape

Every time I try to merge a tape into Arcserve I get a GPF error on arcserve.exe
I tried to install the manage on Win98 and the same problem persisted. I have installed the ardserve patch.

Have you tried different tapes?
if so perhaps it is related to database corruption.
