You can set up the job as a GFS rotation job by checking "USE GFS" on the "SCHEDULE tab" on the "BACKUP" manager. This will cause the TAPE LABEL to be written as "F-XXXX-THU-06/06/2001" where XXXX is the media pool for that JOB (each JOB should have a UNIQUE media pool), the "F" indicates full, and the data and time of the backup will also be stamped.
