ARCserve 2k to NTBackup

ARCserve 2K SP4 running on Windows XP Pro.

I need to export some data to an offsite location. They only have NT4.0 and use NTBackup. We both have the same tape drive type.

can ARCserve be forced to write a tape so that NTbackup can read it?

You could use NTBACKUP yourself, then the techs at the offiste location will be able to get the data off the tape. We do it here all the time.

Thank you, that's exactly what I did.

Using Arcserve Device Configuration, I disabled ARCserve's control over my DDS4 drive. (Enable/Disable for RSM option). Then NTBackup was able to use the device for backup.
