arcserve 2k manager continually closes.

When I am attempting to save a modified job, I click on the green traffic signal icon and within 30 seconds the arcserve manager just shuts down and closes.
When I return to the job manager, my job is on hold and the change does not save in the modified job.

I have arcserve 2k on a compaq 380 box, 512mb ram dual 500cpus, with a qualstar library 12 slots, two sony ait 300sdx drives.
ARcserve has sp3 with patches qo15984.caz and qo15169.caz.
Both of the patches above were sent to me from CA to resolve the issue, but it has been unfruitful.

I have also successfully run dbcheck and dbrepair at command prompt on the databases, but no errors are found.

In this case patch QO04949 is also important. The Incremental fix QO15169 does not contain the file from this patch.
I am not saying this will solve all problems with the closing manager, but just some errors.

I have the same Problems on many Arcserve installations and i have no patch for it, but i can give you a TIP: Before you press the Green light save the job to disk! after this press the green light and it works! i hope i can help you a little.
