ARCSERVE 2000 with backup file agent for Exchange

Hi

I have Arcerve 2000 Workgroup Edition along with the Backup File Agent for Microsoft Exchange installed on my Exchange server. However, I do not have the tape drive on this server, I have it installed on my file server. is it possible to perform the backups to this tape drive even though it is not on the same server.

With a Workgroup Edition this is not possible. The WE is designed as a single server backup solution, therefore ARCserve, the Exchange Agent and the tape device all MUST reside on the same server.
Otherwise you have to upgrade to an Advanced Edition.
