Arcserve 2000 Version 7 Backing up M:\ Drive 2

We have got Arcserve 2000 installed on our server. This server is our mail server with Exchange 2000 on it. Do we need to backup the M:\ Drive in Arcserve or can we exclude this directory from the list?

You want to exclude the M:\ drive from an Exchange 2000 server from any backup as well as any virus scan that is on the server. You risk corruption by going anywhere near it.

The M:\ drive view into the IS was something that should have never seen the light of day from the labs of Microsoft.

Don't touch the M:\ drive in any way.

Arcserve has a document that tells you what to backup and what not to backup with Arcserve....sorry, don't have the link.

Thanks for your help with this. I have excluded it from backing up in arcserve now and also from virusscan
