i am running arcserve 6.61 and am upgrading to 2000. there does not seem to be an official "upgrade" sequence so my quesition is - should arcserve6.61 be uninstall followed by a free install of arcserve 2000 or should i install over top of the old program?

arcserve 2000 upgrade procedure

HI,
It depends on what kinds licence you have purchased...
if you have the upgrade licence, you have to install it
on top of AS661.
Else you can uninstall 661 and install 2000.
