Hi,

I've a problem with my ARCserve 2000 in a windows 2000 NAS environment.

I receive this error:

"W6910 the tape drive has a problem with the host interface
1. Check the cables and cable connections
2. Restart the operation.

Can anyone help me to solve it??

Thanks a lot

Before you can get an answer you need to provide some yourself.

What type of NAS box is it?
How many are there?
How are they connected?
To what is the tape device connected?
How is the tape device connected?
To what is the ARCserve server connected to?
How is the ARCserve server connected?

My NAS is a DELL powervault 725N connected by SCSI controller to an PowerVault 112T (DELL) backup appliance with their original tapes.

I've already controlled to make a backup with another tape to try to localize the problem, but with no results...

The version of my ARCserve is 2000, witch is installed in windows 2000 environment.

I hope to be exaustive..

thanks for your help..
