arcserve 2000 running on win2k problem

Hello,

We are running arcserve 2000 on wink2 server using powervault 122. When running backups sometimes it comes up the tape library has been put on a security mode or the security has changed onto security mode.

We have no choice but to reboot the server + drive to get backup going. Any idea why it does this ?

Do you get a W6965 message in the logs with this?

This message usually relates to the librarys security being compromised due to the library door being opened or left open.

Also make sure that you are running on SP4 and the latest device update patches: -
