ARCserve 2000 on Windows XP Pro?

Is anybody running ARCserve 2k on windows XP Professional? I'll be moving to new hardware and am considering XP for it's RDP capability. (I'd be able to free up a PcAnywere licence).

Any problems / considerations?

Hi,

ARCServe 2000 cannot be install on XP .. pro or home editions

however...
Arcserve 9.0 (Brighstor ARcserve backup 9.0) can be installed on XP (pro - 32 bit)

Can you provide a little more detail? Why can't it be installed? Does the installer refuse after doing an O/S check?

I wouldn't be able to explain the internals....

however... ARCserve2000 was released way before XP was...
ARcserve 2000 would've been designed for NT\2000 only..

Thus when XP was release, they(CA) came out with an Agent
to backup XP machines...
