Arcserve 2000 not backing up picture files 1

we are running arcserve 2000 on windows 2000 server machine but everynight i am getting errors with picture files:
error 3406 (file name) EC sharing violation
this is happening for all .jpg and .gif files I cant find anything on the CA website, has anyone else experienced this or know a solution

What is the servivce pack on ARcserve 2000.
I believe this was addresses with one of the patches.

however, set the ARCerve job engine to start with the arcserve system account...

Arcserve 2000 sp3 has been installed. Arcserve is on version 7.0 (build 1086)
I will try running it with a system account tonight

Sp4 is the lates service pack for ARcserve2000.

Apply that ....

remove "compress files before backup" from your "Backup Media" job options.
