Hi,

Which logs (ArcserveIT\LOG) can I archive as the directory is getting very large?

These are the files that are currently in the directory:
$00000**.LOG
AGENTERR.LOG
ARCSERVE.LOG
dbept**.log
drwtsn32.log
embksrv.log
intrl.log
J0000***.LOG
SAVCFG.log
tskept00.log
TskJob**.log

I obviously won't delete the arcserve.log file but most of the others I'm not sure of.

Thanks

$0000*.* - should only be there while a job is running and so if there are any left when no jobs are running they can be deleted.

agenterr.log - is used to debug agent problems and so if you are not working on any agent problems it can be deleted.

arcserve.log - the activity log, check the release notes for a registry setting that will automaticly prune it.

dbept* - not sure what this log is.

drwtsn32 - is on OS debug file which is written to a different location so someone must have copied it here for some reason. Other than that it can be deleted.

embksrv.log - emergency backup log, usually this is real small and so there is little to gain by deleting it.

intrl.log - not sure what this log is.

J0000***.LOG - these are the job logs, and can be deleted at your discresion.

SAVCFG.log - not sure
tskept00.log - same
TskJob**.log - same

HI,

dbept**.log - Database Exception Log
If any of the DB agents crash, it gets logged here

tskept00.log - task Exception log

Cheers
