I have two Exchange 2000 servers in a Active/Passive cluster. I am using Arcserve 2000 Advanced (SP4) to backup the active node (node A). They are connected to a Compaq SAN with a TL895 tape library. Recently the backup job will freeze to a state that will not allow me to stop or kill it. It appears to be just after it starts backing up the information store. Even failing the node over or a restart will not kill the job. I literally have to un-install and re-install Arcserve. I have done this three times and it freezes everytime. I have no idea what is going on. It has worked in the past. Any ideas?
